Professional Career: Worked for the GATT Legal Affairs Division (1992-1996); UoMichigan (1991-1992); UoNeuchatel (Switzerland), professeur extraordinaire as of 1996; Chair for International Trade and Investment Law at the European University Institute, Florence (2011-2016), on leave from Columbia Law School. Have worked as consultant for the OECD and the World Bank. Have also been employed by the American Law Institute (ALI) where I acted as chief reporter for the project: Principles of International Trade Law, the WTO (published by AlLI in 2013). My most recent publications include The Regulation of International Trade, MIT Press, 2016; the Internationalization of Government Procurement, with Bernard Hoekman and Aris Georgopoulos, Oxford, 2017; Regulation of Foreign Investment: Challenges to Harmonization with Zdenek Drabek, World Scientific, 2013.
