Professional Career: Lia Athanassiou is a professor at the Law School of the University of Athens and an attorney-at-law with the Piraeus Bar Association, as well as senior partner of Athanassiou – Gerapetritis & Associates law firm. Since 2008 she is an external legal advisor of the Regulatory Authority for Energy – drafting of secondary legislation on the liberalization of the gas market. She has authored many treatises and articles and she regularly participates as a speaker in international events.
