Areas of Expertise: Devika acts as Counsel and sits as Arbitrator. She has particular experience in energy, extractives, construction, and general commercial disputes advising many of the world’s energy majors on a variety of complex cross-border disputes. She has experience of representing clients in gas price review arbitrations and in relation to production sharing agreement disputes. She also has experience in the pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals and telecoms industry. Devika is a regular contributor to legal journals and speaker at conferences.

Arbitration Experience: Devika has experience of sitting as arbitrator (both sole and panel) under the ICC and LCIA Rules. Cases have involved inter alia conflicts of laws, expedited procedures, defaulting parties, interim applications and security for costs.

Languages: English (native), French, Greek, Italian (working).

Education: Jurisprudence, Law, MA, University of Oxford, European, International and Comparative Law, LLM, European University Institute, Florence. Post-graduate Diploma in Arbitration, Queen Mary University, School of International Arbitration.

Professional Career: Devika joined Clyde & Co as a partner in 2012. Before joining the firm, she was part of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s international arbitration group and previously trained and worked at Slaughter and May.

Devika is a partner in the firm’s Global Arbitration Group based in London, advising many of the world’s major energy companies on complex cross-border disputes. She was named a “Rising Star” in International Law by Super Lawyers 2013 (Thomson Reuters).
