Areas of Expertise: Charles Nairac concentrates on international arbitration, with a focus on the construction and energy industries, and has regularly been active in arbitration matters arising out of projects in Greece.

Arbitration Experience: Charles has been involved in international commercial and investment arbitrations, under most of the major institutional rules as well as in ad hoc arbitrations, in English and in French. Charles is recognized in leading legal directories such as Chambers, Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, the International Who’s Who of Construction Lawyers and the GAR 100.

Languages: French, English.

Education: Charles graduated with an LLB from King’s College, London (1996). He holds a Maîtrise en Droit from Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (1996) and a postgraduate degree in international law from Université de Paris II Panthéon-Assas (1997). He is a member of the Paris Bar since 2001.

Professional Career: Charles joined White & Case, based in the Paris office, in 2001, and became a partner of the Firm in 2008. Prior to joining White & Case, Charles worked as in-house legal adviser for a French bank in Singapore, providing legal support for the bank’s corporate banking and project finance activities.

Charles teaches international arbitration at the Sorbonne School of Law (Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Université de Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas and Université de Nancy.
