Arbitration Experience: In the context of his work as a judge at the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court, he has dealt with actions for the annulment of arbitration awards or recognition of these as “non-existent”. Currently he is involved in arbitration as an arbitrator.

Professional Career: A. Koutromanos served as a judge for 39 years, retiring (2015) as President of the Supreme Court of Greece. During his term of office he served at the Court of First Instance of Pyrgos and the Court of First Instance of Piraeus, as President at the Court of First Instance of Volos, at the Court of Appeal of Dodecanese, at the Court of Appeal of Larissa and at the Court of Appeal of Athens, as Vice President at the Supreme Court until 2014, when he was elected President. He is a member of the Association of Criminal Lawyers and the Society of Criminal Law. He taught the courses “Methodology of the Judicial Work” and “General Principles of Civil Law” at the National School of Judges. Since 2016 he is President of the Hellenic Council of Radio and Television. He is a certified mediator by the Ministry of Justice and member of the EODID Supervisory Board.
