Education: Law Degree, University of Athens. Post-graduate studies in Civil Law in the University of Munich. Ph.D in Law, University of Munich (thesis: «Die Eigentumsanwartschaft beim Vorbehaltskauf – Zur Theorie der dinglichen Anwartschaften», 1963).

Professional Career: He was appointed Associate Professor at the Munich Faculty of Law in 1967 and Professor of Civil Law, Law of Civil Procedure, International Private Law and Comparative Law in 1970. In 1973 he was elected as Adjunct Professor in the Athens Faculty of Law and as a Professor of Civil Law in 1976. He taught as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Law of Thrace University and at the Superior School of Economic and Commercial Sciences (currently Economic University). He has been awarded an honorary doctorate degree by the University of Thessaloniki and the University of Thrace.

He has served as CEO of the National Real Estate Bank of Greece. He is member of the Union of German Civil Law practitioners. He founded the Union of Civil Law practitioners and served as its president for years. Since 2001 he is the Editing Director of the legal magazine “Private Law Chronicles”.
